We had the honour of speaking with local pro hockey player Kolby Johnson earlier this week.

What was supposed to be a sit-down conversation about his pro career turned into a bit of breaking news, as before we could get things going, Johnson dropped the bombshell news that he would going to play pro hockey in Australia for the spring and summer months.

Name That Tune was all girl power today.

The Neubergthal Heritage Foundation is looking forward to seeing you Saturday afternoon at 2p.m. at the Commons Barn for its next Low German program. The second, and final event, of this month's "Plautdietsche Tietfedrief 2025" will feature Tina Fehr Kehler and Angela Klassen.

Registration is now open for the Eastman Raiders Football Club, welcoming kids and teens to learn new skills. 

Vice President of the organization, Naomi Murry is encouraging parents to consider signing their children up for the program. She explains that the first few practices are designed to evaluate each player’s skills and find the position that suits them best.

The sounds of laughter, music, and Plautdietsch (Low German) are returning to the historic village of Neubergthal as part of the Plautdietsche Tietfedrief 2025 (Low German Programs 2025).

On Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 PM, the Commons Barn will host the second installment of “Komm Trijg Nom Darp!”, which translates to “Come Back to the Village!” The program features music and sketches from the hilarious and much-loved duo of Tina Fehr-Kehler and Angela Klassen.
