Protein Industries Canada is looking for someone to take over its top role.
Bill Greuel, who has been CEO of the organization since it was created in October of 2018, is leaving. He has accepted the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture with the Government of Saskatchewan. is last day with Protein Industries Canada will be July 31,2024.
The board will announce the appointment of an interim CEO in the coming weeks while the search for a permanent CEO is underway.
Manitou Beach Busking Festival the biggest and best attended ever
Another fantastic weekend of music and performances is in the books for the Manitou Beach Busking Festival. The resort village was bustling with visitors gypsying from performance location to location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Midway Co-op Supports LeRoy Daycare with Community BBQ
Friday was another busy day for the Midway Co-op as they hosted another great community BBQ.
The LeRoy community recently gathered at the Co-op for a special event aimed at supporting the LeRoy Daycare. The event, which featured a barbecue and the distribution of equity checks, was a resounding success, raising $1,145 for the daycare. The Co-op's support and the community’s involvement highlighted the importance of such fundraisers for local projects.
Canada Day All-Star SPBL Baseball takes over James Korte Field
Canada Day saw the first All Star Games with the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League played at James Korte Field in Muenster. In both the rookies and the senior game, teams were comprised of 2 to 3 players from each of the teams in their respective zones.
The afternoon opener saw the 18U AAA Rookie all-stars take the field with East Central Red Sox Cade Britz and Pryor Dyck on with the Sask West team. The west squad cruised to an 8-1 over their eastern counterparts.
