Today marks the start of AgSmart 2025, the educational agriculture expo is now being held at Olds College.

The event falls under the direction of the Agri Trade Equipment Expo Group. Show Manager Tracy Gardner says this year's event is going to look a little different.

“Much of our activity is going to be hosted with all of our speaker sessions in the work land School of Agriculture and Technology. While the trade show is being showcased in the Alumni Center. And then of course as people park, they'll be able to see the outdoor exhibit and the crop plots and such.”

She's excited about this year's guest speakers, including hometown celebrity James Lawrence the Iron Cowboy. Lawrence is an endurance world record holder and triathlete. He’s known as The Iron Cowboy for wearing a cowboy hat during Ironman races.

“He has a really amazing message about redefining the impossible. So, I think his message is going to be a great way to kick start the event. I think from a speaker perspective, we've got such a great mix of industry experts and doctors and accountants and real-life producers that are sharing some of the best practices and some of the neat and cool innovations that are out there.”
