The Federal Government's grain monitor, Quorum Corporation has released the stats for July 28-July 31, 2025 - the last week of the 2024-2025 crop year. 

According to the report, country stocks dropped to 2.31 million metric tonnes, utilizing 44 per cent of country elevator space. 

Total western port terminal stocks dropped to 1.1 million metric tonnes, using 57 per cent of the working capacity.

Total western port unloads were 54 per cent lower than Week 52 last year. West Coast unloads were 1,742 cars (Vancouver 1,591 and Prince Rupert 151), 53 per cent  lower than the 4-week moving average and 58 per cent lower than Week 52 last year. Thunder Bay had 891 unloads, 50 per cent lower than the 4-week moving average and 42 per cent lower than Week 52 last year. 

Year-to-date Western Canadian shipments from port terminal elevators at Week 52 are 10 per cent higher than the same period last year and 5 per cent higher than the 3-year average. 

Vancouver vessel lineup for the first week of the 2025-26 crop year increased to 9 vessels with 6 at berth and 3 were anchored at English Bay. Two vessels were reported at Prince Rupert.

Vancouver cleared 9 vessels for the first week of the new crop year, while 16 new vessels arrived at Vancouver.
