Influenza and COVID-19 Immunizations appointment booking begins today
It's that time of year once again when influenza and COVID vaccinations become available.
Today (Oct.8) is the first day you can book an appointment.
Walk-in clinics will open up beginning next week. (Tues. Oct. 15).
Appointments can be booked through the SHA Patient Booking System found at www.4flu.ca or by calling 1-833-727-5829.
Humboldt-Watrous Profile Sask United Party candidate Carrie Ann Hradecki
Less than three weeks remain until the provincial election in Saskatchewan on Monday, October 28.
There are six candidates running in the Humboldt-Watrous constituency including Carrie Ann Hradecki of the Sask United Party.
Hradecki resides in Bruno and currently is a substitute teacher in the Horizon and Saskatoon Catholic School Divisions.
Broncos Jacob Strizzi named SJHL's Forward of the Week
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) announced their weekly award winners on Monday, with one member of the Humboldt Broncos recognized.
Jacob Strizzi was named the Bourgault Forward of the Week.
He had 5 PTS (4G-1A) throughout three games last week.
High school football Week 5 results
Week 5 of the high school football season around the area is in the books.
On Thursday, Watrous was defeated by Clavet 60-48 in a night game. With the loss, the Wildcats record drops down to 2-2, with both losses coming at the hands of Clavet. Watrous will return to action on Thursday with a home game against Assiniboia.
Roughriders back in playoffs after a win in Edmonton
For the first time since 2021, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have reached the Canadian Football League (CFL) postseason.
On Saturday, the Roughriders punched their ticket to the playoffs with a 28-24 win over the Edmonton Elks.
Saskatchewan was in positioned for the clinching victory after the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Calgary Stampeders on Friday night.

Nominations open for Watrous Citizen and Coach of the Year
Residents who go the extra mile with volunteer work in the community of Watrous have the chance to be recognized with the Citizen and Coach of the Year Awards.
Nomination forms are now available at the town office in Watrous or online at the Town of Watrous website.
Recreation Director Chelsea Murfitt says volunteerism is something that is taken under strong consideration for Citizen of the Year.
Roughriders attempting to clinch playoff spot this weekend
For the first time since 2021, the Saskatchewan Roughriders (7-7-1) will have the chance to put an x beside their name in the standings this weekend.
The Roughriders will head to Edmonton on Saturday for their final road game of the regular season when they meet the Elks at Commonwealth Stadium.
Mohawks football team looking for redemption against Delisle
The Humboldt Collegiate Institute (HCI) Mohawks football team will have another chance to unseat the undefeated Delisle Rebels when the two teams meet in Delisle.
On September 20th, the two teams met in a highly entertaining back and forth game, with the Rebels securing the victory thanks to a pair of touchdowns in the final two minutes of the game.
Broncos begin busy weekend in Kindersley
After a weeklong break the Humboldt Broncos will be back on the ice tonight in Kindersley against the Klippers.
Last Friday, the Broncos suffered their first loss of the season with a 6-2 loss to the Yorkton Terriers.
Head Coach Brayden Klimosko said it was good for the team to have extended time at practice before returning to action.
