Connor Miller returns to the Humboldt Broncos with a bronze medal and boosted confidence

Connor Miller returned to Humboldt earlier this week with a bronze medal after helping Canada West finish in third place at the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Camrose, Alberta.  

He hopes to bring more than a medal back from the international experience to the Humboldt Broncos for the second half of the season. 

Watson's Dustin Tokarski earns first NHL win in nearly two years with Carolina

Dustin Tokarski is back in the National Hockey League (NHL) win column. 

On Sunday night, the Watson product made his first start inside of an NHL crease in nearly two years with the Carolina Hurricanes.  

Tokarski made 27 saves and led the Hurricanes to a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets and was named the first star of the game.  

Broncos Miller and Hansen win bronze medals at World Junior 'A' Challenge

Humboldt Broncos forward Connor Miller and Assistant Coach Carter Hansen have brought home some souvenirs from their experience with the Canada West team at the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Camrose, Alberta. 

On Sunday, the Canada West team defeated the Canada East team 5-2 in the bronze medal game.  

Miller picked up an assist in the win. He ended the tournament with two points (1G-1A). 

St. Peter's Chorus rings in the holidays with Christmas concert performances

After months of preparation, the St. Peter’s Chorus are gearing up for a big weekend. 

They will be performing two concerts, Friday night in Wadena at the Wadena Community Legion beginning at 7:30.  

Their annual Christmas concert in Humboldt is Sunday afternoon at the St. Augustine Church at 2:30. 

Jeffery Straker to bring his festive favourites to Humboldt on Dec.19

A special Christmas show will arrive in Humboldt next Thursday, December 19th. 

Jeffery Straker will be performing A Very Prairie Christmas at the Legion Hall. Lady Friday will be the opening act for the evening.  

Straker has been very busy touring around the province with his Christmas performance including a pair of shows at Casino Regina and another two concerts at the Bassment in Saskatoon.
