Didsbury names new Chief Administrative Officer
Michael Simpson has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Didsbury and will take up the role on Sept. 15.

Pioneer Acres brings history to life with 55th Annual Show
Pioneer Acres is gearing up to host its 55th annual show, and this year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever.
“Oh yes, we have our 55th annual show coming up,” said Diana Rowe, marketing coordinator for Pioneer Acres. “We’re very excited about it this year. We are going to have some big equipment on site for this year's show.”
Held over three days from August 8 to 10, the event is a full-scale heritage experience, showcasing vintage machinery, traditional farming techniques, and family-friendly fun.
Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills MLA ready to serve riding
Tara Sawyer, the Member of Legislative Assembly for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills, is excited to serve her riding.
Sawyer is a farmer and business owner who lives near Acme. She has served as Chair of Grain Growers of Canada and Alberta Grains, becoming the first woman elected to both roles.
"I'm excited and I'm humbled and honoured at the trust that the people of the riding are putting in me, I don't take that lightly, so I'm looking forward to working on their behalf."
She went on to talk about her campaign and what her main goals were.

Airdrie didn’t wait for fireworks to bring the heat this Canada Day. Families packed City Hall for pancakes by sunrise, lined the parade route by mid-morning, and rolled straight into an all-day celebration stretching from downtown to Nose Creek Park.

Chinook’s Edge wraps up school year with key updates
In their last trustee meeting for the school year, the Chinook's Edge School Division Board of Trustees made a number of decisions and wished the graduating class the best of luck last week.
The Chinook’s Edge Board of Trustees wishes to extend its congratulations to the graduating class of 2025. The Board echoed the comments of Superintendent Ryan Sawula, given in his Superintendent’s report at the meeting explained the school division.
