Local equipment dealer A.R.K. New Tech is rolling out the orange carpet for the community with a “Ride and Drive” test drive event this Tuesday, May 21st, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their Morden location, situated conveniently between Morden and Winkler.
This hands-on experience is open to everyone — from farmers and acreage owners to lawn care enthusiasts — and includes a free BBQ lunch at noon, test drives of Kubota tractors, mowers, and side-by-sides, and exclusive event-day discounts.

Morden’s Constable Jeff Forster reflects during National Police Appreciation Week
As National Police Appreciation Week is recognized across the country, it’s a perfect time to spotlight local officers who are making a difference—like Constable Jeff Forster, who has proudly served with the Morden Police Service for 20 years.
“I’ve lived my whole life in this community,” said Forster. “It’s a way for us to give back. We all have families here, and we want it to be safe for everybody.”
Now serving as Morden’s Community Resource Officer, Forster has stepped into a unique role that focuses less on tickets and more on connection.

With summer just around the corner, Pembina Valley Bible Camp (PVBC) is buzzing with activity as registration is officially open for the 2025 season. While the sun-soaked days of camp are what most people look forward to, Executive Director Terry Friesen says there’s been just as much excitement this winter with major upgrades, especially for the camp’s beloved horse programs.

The Winkler Amateur Soccer Association (WASA) is kicking off registration for its Fall 2025 season, and families are encouraged to sign up early. With more than 674 players last year, the volunteer-led league continues to grow—and that means plenty of planning ahead.
“We need time to make teams,” explains Kara Wieler, longtime WASA organizer. “Last year we had 674 players, so yeah, it takes a lot of time to organize that.”

On Tuesday afternoon, the parking lot at Central Station and the Winkler Food Cupboard was buzzing — not with the usual hustle and bustle, but with a steady stream of cars driving through to pick up two free bags of frozen fries. The catch? One bag was for you, and the other was for you to give away.
