Winkler police are investigating an incident of property damage after a vehicle was reported doing “donuts” on the property of a local business on August 7th.
According to police, the vehicle sprayed rocks onto parked vehicles while spinning on the lot, resulting in damage.
Residents are being asked to report any information they may have to the Winkler Police Service at 204-325-0829.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Federal transportation investigators to visit site of fatal Manitoba plane crash
Investigators are heading to the site of a plane crash that killed four people in remote northeastern Manitoba over the weekend.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says investigators should arrive in St. Theresa Point Anisininew Nation by the end of the week to probe the accident that saw a bush plane crash approximately 40 kilometres south of the community while on its way to Makepeace Lake.
400 Winkler residents hit with an overnight power outage
About 400 Manitoba Hydro customers lost power Monday afternoon after two underground cable faults in a residential area.
The outage began around 4:30 p.m., with most customers restored by 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Hydro says the double fault reduced their ability to switch customers to alternate feeds, meaning many remained without power until crews completed repairs.

A memorial service for Menno Siemens will be held Thursday, September 18th at 11am at Harvest Christian Fellowship, Plum Coulee with private burial prior to the service at Plum Coulee Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler Wednesday, September 17th from 7 to 9pm.
Inflation ticks higher to 1.9% in August, short of economists’ expectations
Some stubbornness at the gas pumps pushed the headline inflation rate a couple ticks higher to 1.9 per cent in August, Statistics Canada said Tuesday.
Gasoline prices rose 1.4 per cent month-over-month in August as higher refining margins offset lower crude costs, StatCan said.
The price of gas was still down 12.7 per cent annually in August – the end of the consumer carbon price has deflated costs for motorists since the spring – but the decline fell short of July’s 16.1 per cent drop, pushing the headline inflation rate higher.

South Dike Pathway in Winkler set for repaving
The City of Winkler is preparing to repave the south dike pathway between 14th Street South and PTH 32.
Assistant City Manager Wendy Klassen said the path is “In rough shape, so we plan to repave it to allow walkers and cyclists a smoother ride. We plan to start removing the existing path [this week]... and if the weather cooperates, we will start paving shortly after that.”
The City estimates the work will take about a week and a half to complete.
83 year old and neighbours lead a sea of riders for Eden
The hills were alive with the sound of spinning wheels as more than 200 cyclists and runners gathered for the 23rd annual Head for the Hills event, raising at least $103,000 for Eden Foundation, and that number is still growing.
