Country 107 asks: Who should hop in if the Easter Bunny takes a break?

If the Easter Bunny took a break, who should take over? You had some egg-cellent ideas!

With Easter weekend just around the corner, I brought a very important question to the Country 107 Morning Show:
If the Easter Bunny needed a little vacation, who should fill in?

Let’s be honest, delivering candy to millions of kids across the country sounds exhausting. A little time off feels fair, right?

I posed the question to my guest Michelle Sawatzky-Koop, and her answer? Let’s just say... things got a little bouncy.

22nd Annual Keystone Alpaca Classic is underway in Brandon

The 22nd Annual Keystone Alpaca Classic is underway this weekend at the Keystone Centre in Brandon. Alpaca enthusiasts and producers from across the Prairies and Ontario are gathering to showcase their top-quality animals and share their passion for alpaca farming.

Kim Dyck, President of the Manitoba Alpaca Club and owner of Hundredfold Farm in Stephenfield, says the alpaca industry in Manitoba started in the early 90s. "There's quite a few farms in Manitoba. We have about 10 or 12 members of the Manitoba Alpaca Club. Those people raise alpacas for their fiber."

Supreme Court of Canada clarifies treatment of student loan debt under bankruptcy law

The Supreme Court of Canada says a person must wait seven years after completely finishing their post-secondary studies before they can be released from student loan debt under the federal bankruptcy law.

The top court's decision came Thursday in the case of Izabela Piekut, who received government student loans in the course of three university programs from 1987 to 2003.

Piekut later returned to school and earned a master's degree in 2009 without the help of additional student loans.

'You, sir, are not a change': Party leaders target Carney in final election debate

Liberal Leader Mark Carney spent his first English election debate presenting himself as a safe pair of hands for a country in crisis — while Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre sought to frame him as more of the same after a decade of Liberal government.

Carney, who is leading in the polls, became the main target of all his rivals' attacks early in Thursday's final debate of the election — a trend that carried over from Wednesday's French language debate.

Local hockey people weigh in on Jets vs Blues series

As the Winnipeg Jets set to get their 2025 playoffs underway, a number of hockey fans from around the Southeast were asked for their thoughts on the upcoming series against the St. Louis Blues.

Stephane Pattyn, Ste. Anne Aces overtime hero

"My take by position:

Forwards: Both teams show promising depth and playoff-type players who can elevate. I think the Jets' commitment to playing a 200' game throughout their lineup and slightly more offensive power gives them the edge here. Ehlers needs to come back soon.
