Anna Peters nee Penner, 94, of Morden formerly of Osterwick, passed away Thursday April 10th at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She is survived by 3 daughters, 1 son and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Peters.
The funeral service for Anna Peters nee Penner will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 2pm at Maranatha Christian Fellowship Church Winkler with burial at Chapel Cemetery Morden.
Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden Monday, April 14th from 1 to 8pm.

“I was driving east from Steinbach on Highway 52, just past the old fire hall, when I looked over and saw what had to be over a hundred eagles sitting in a field,” said MacLeod. “I pulled over and took a photo right away because I knew no one would believe me.”

Why is gas so much more expensive at Steinbach pumps?
Even though the price of gasoline has dropped considerably this month, motorists in Steinbach are noticing that the cost to fill their tank is still much higher than in other parts of the province.
With the consumer carbon price officially set to zero, motorists felt immediate relief at the pumps on April 1st, with gas prices dropping by about 18 cents per litre. In Steinbach, prices dropped to 137 cents per litre. Prices have fallen even further in the last 10 days and today sit at 130.9 cents per litre.
Mitchell LUD announces tax decrease
Ratepayers in Mitchell will see their taxes go down this year on the Local Urban District (LUD) portion of their tax bill.
Committee Chair Brad Kehler says for an average residential property assessed at $350,000, residents of the LUD of Mitchell will see a year-over-year decrease of approximately 1.8 per cent. He notes that is about $29 less this year than last year.
