Thomas Harral Jukes

Thomas Harral Jukes, 93, of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at Pioneer Lodge. Prior to his short stay at the lodge, Harral, was living independently until age 92 in Moose Jaw after moving from their farm in 2012 with the love of his life, Marj of 62 years.

John Derksen, 96, of Winnipeg passed away Sunday, August 11th at St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by his wife Norma, 3 daughters, 1 son, 1 sister, and their families. He was predeceased by his first wife, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. 
The funeral service for John Derksen will be held Saturday, August 17th at 11am at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service. 

Mitch Melo

The family of Mitch Melo is heartbroken to announce he passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Mitchell Alexander Ian Melo was born February 20th, 1992, in Swift Current Saskatchewan to Alanna Becker, the first of four children. Mitchell grew up in Swift Current and graduated from SCCHS in 2010.

Mrs. Simone Desautels

Simone passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024 at the Foyer St Joseph Nursing Home in Ponteix, Sask at the age of 91. She was born to Guillaume Forget and Rachel (Rousseau) on Dec 18, 1932 at their farm in Ponteix. Simone was the 4th of 8 children. She attended Notre Dame East School a country school (grade 1-8) Ponteix Convent (grade 9), Sion Academy Saskatoon ( grade 10) and Scott's Business College, Saskatoon, Sask where she obtained a secretarial course and worked for Mid-West Dental Supply office for a couple years.

Raymond “Peanut” Saltise

Peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, Raymond “Peanut” Saltise passed away with his loving wife Janis by his side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 61 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years Janis; godchild Jeffrey Ducharme; along with his brothers, sisters, numerous friends and relatives. Raymond was predeceased by his pride and joy, son Sheldon Ducharme; parents Bob and Molly Saltise; in-laws pat and Elaine Ducharme; along with his brothers, sisters and sister-in-law.
