Corny Rempel took Feel Good Fridays to the splash park at EA Friesen Park in Steinbach. This week, two lucky families will be enjoying some free food thanks to the generosity and community spirit of the Steinbach Auto Dealers.

Fun Friday evening with IRAL Colour Fest in Steinbach
AD Penner Park in Steinbach was a colourful sight on Friday evening as people came out for the first ever IRAL Colour Fest.
IRAL stands for International Reggae Afro Latin.
The festival was put on by Nevillle Hamilton, a local musician, and one of the owners of Di Reggae Grill.
He says this event was a great way to bring people together with music and fun activities.
Rogers network issues causing problems with cell, banks, credit and debit payments
For all cellular users on the Rogers network, the only calls out that can be made are for emergencies.
The issue seems to span across a few Canadian provinces as customers start the day. The issue started in the middle of the night.
According to a website that tracks outages, it says that 'Rogers is having issues since 02:20 AM EST.'
Rogers tweeted just before 8 AM that they were aware of the issues.
Motorcycle crash results in driver being taken to hospital
One person was taken to hospital following a collision near Oakwood Golf Course.
Emergency crews responded to the single vehicle crash at around 6:45 pm on Dawson Road.
The Richer Fire Department reports the driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance.

A new festival is coming to Steinbach this summer, and it’ll be the most colourful the Southeast has ever seen.
IRAL Colour Fest will be taking place at Steinbach’s A.D. Penner Park on Friday, July 8th.

Teen caught speeding while under the influence on Canada Day
Manitoba RCMP report that a 19-year-old driver, with an Intermediate licence, was caught going 170 km/h on Highway 1, near the Highway 12 overpass, at 6:47pm on July 1.
A roadside breath demand was requested and the driver blew a 32, which is a FAIL, as Intermediate licence holders have a ZERO Blood Alcohol Content requirement.
RCMP report that the driver claimed she was on her way home from Reynold’s pond and “was just slowing down to pass a semi”

"Wes looked into the newspaper archives and dug up some information and history. He actually found the original grand opening ad in the paper. So, we copied the date, June 23rd, for our grand opening."
