Trans-Canada delays near Herbert-Waldeck will last until autumn

Drivers on the Trans-Canada Highway between Herbert and Waldeck may experience some delays.

Ongoing road work in the area, namely repaving, is causing delays as traffic is forced to slow in the work area.

The issue compounds itself at the 7 a.m. hour when the crews are rolling equipment into place. Reports of hour-long delays on what is normally a ten-minute stretch of the highway have been made to Swift Current Online.

Other work being done in the area includes culvert installation, with equipment tunnelling under the highway.

Martens Mutterings: Communication, in it's purest form

There are tons of ways to talk to different people. It could be on the phone, could be through text message or social media chats. Or there's even the good 'ol fashioned communicating face to face with someone. It seems as though this form is a bit of a lost art.

This past Thursday, we held our first Taste of Summer Community BBQ right out front at the Innovation Center. Aside from the great purpose behind the BBQ (raising money for SaskAbilities) one of the other fantastic aspects to it, was communication. Pure and simple talking with your neighbors, friends and listeners.
