New research on a sample collected from the asteroid Bennu — a small portion of which should arrive in Canada soon — is offering a glimpse into how it came to be.

Kindersley hot oil company vows to rebuild after devastating fire

A local oilfield service company is picking up the pieces after a weekend fire destroyed four of its trucks.

Lynco Hot Oilers 2018 Ltd. confirmed in a social media post that the blaze on Saturday night wiped out more than half of its fleet. Owners Jason Georget and Layne Wall said while the loss is significant, they are thankful no one was injured.

“Our livelihoods went up in flames,” the post read. “We’ll be OK, though. No one got hurt and that’s ALL that matters.”

Kyle RCMP handle mischief, suspicious person and animal complaints

Kyle RCMP responded to a series of calls over the past week, including a mischief complaint and a report of a suspicious person.

On Aug. 25, officers received a call about an individual acting suspiciously in Kyle. Police say it was later determined the person was attempting to locate someone in order to serve legal documents.

Two days later, on Aug. 27, RCMP were called to the RM of Monet for a report of mischief. Members spoke with all of the people involved and determined no further police action was needed.
