A community effort: WPS remind of water conservation bylaw

The Weyburn Police Service is reminding the community of water conservation efforts in effect during the summer. Deputy Chief Shane St. John notes that these measures are under the City of Weyburn Bylaw.

“I think people sometimes forget about it or aren't sure how it works. People can get a fine, usually it'd be a warning if someone's watering all the time when they're not supposed to be, you could get a fine. We don't want to see anyone get that so, it's better for everyone just to be aware of the by-law.”

Her journey with the camps began in 2008 as a camper, and she later returned for the Youth Leadership Program from 2012 to 2016.
