Liam Fitzgerald played two seasons with the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings, joining back in the 2023-2024 season after playing with the Revelstoke Grizzlies and the Fernie Ghostriders of the KIJHL. A playoff performer, scoring three goals in seven games of last year and six in the 17 games this year which led all Red Wings in postseason goals. “My wife told me she’d entered me in a Seed and Feed,” Kopec laughed.
Kopec noted that they have begun seeding, with “a couple thousand acres of durum in already.”

Two vehicle thefts reported in Weyburn: Quad and e-bike missing
The Weyburn Police Service (WPS) is currently investigating two separate thefts that occurred last week in the city.
Sergeant Riley Ross explains the first incident took place on Monday, April 28th, when the WPS received a report of a quad stolen from a local business. The stolen vehicle is described as a red 2017 Suzuki 750 CC.
“We determined that the quad was stolen from a business on 12th Street. We do ask the public if they have any information regarding the theft of this quad to contact the Weyburn Police Service or Crime Stoppers.”
