The big Battle of Alberta bet is here!

As if the huge matchup between the Oilers and Flames wasn't big enough, now we've got extra skin in the game!

I called up Shayne Hill from our sister station Eagle 100.9 in Okotoks, hoping she would agree to a (not too) friendly wager.

The loser will find themselves at a major intersection in enemy clothing, professing their love for the opposing team.

On top of all the humiliation on the line, there will be game-by-game bets throughout the series too!

Kenney to learn fate as party announces results of leadership review vote

It’s been a contentious process, with Kenney facing open criticism from a number of caucus members.

If he gets majority support — even a slim majority — he says he will stay on as leader.

He says if that happens, he expects opponents will get behind him or face yet-to-be-named consequences.

The Fort Saskatchewan Walmart has completely removed plastic bags from its checkout counters.

The decision to remove the bags is a part of Walmart's sustainability plan. The plan includes goals such as harvesting wind and solar energy to power their stores, hoping for 100 per cent renewable energy by 2035. Additionally, they wish to drop their global emissions to zero by 2040.

Walmart also pledges to restore at least fifty million acres of land and one million square miles of ocean by 2030.
