The Estevan Taekwondo Club was among the many local groups taking part in Citywide Registration this week, giving families a chance to sign up for the upcoming season.

Club representatives Tina Longny and Simone Saigeon said the evening started out a little quiet but expected more parents to arrive as the night went on. For those who missed registration, families can still sign up at Spruce Ridge School on September 4 and 8 at 6:00 p.m.

The annual charity golf tournament saw a great turnout this year, with 28 teams participating, up from 24 last year. Organizers say nearly $7,500 was raised, funding scholarships, community programs, and donations to families in need.

Sixteen-year-old golfer Logan Cairns fired his best-ever tournament round to win the Stride Credit Union Junior Open at the Portage Golf Club.

The event took place Thursday, August 28, with Cairns posting a four-under 66 to finish well ahead of the field.

Cairns notes, “It feels pretty good, especially since I played my best round ever in a tournament.”

Walking up to the SLS Sports Field, the changes ahead of the Bow Valley Bobcats’ season opener are immediately noticeable.

The Bobcats face the George McDougall Mustangs tonight in the second game of a doubleheader on Ed Eggerer Field.

Head coach Dustin Paul says the energy has been high since camp opened last week.

The Moose Jaw Warriors opened their 2025 main training camp on Wednesday as they prepare to put together their roster for the upcoming Western Hockey League season. 

With roughly 110 players vying for a spot, it's one of the largest camps the team has ever held. 

The High School Football season starts this Friday, right before the school year gets underway. Fall Camp has been in full swing for all three Moose Jaw teams for the last week or so.

We will be highlighting how each squad's camp has been going and what's to come for this season.

Central Collegiate Cyclones

The Central Collegiate Cyclones begin their football season this Friday in Regina with a matchup against Balgonie at Leibel Field. After a condensed training camp due to an early start, the team is shifting focus to game prep.
