Elke values opportunity to meet prospects, veterans at Warriors Training Camp

The 18th overall pick at the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, Kash Elke, is in town for his first WHL training camp.

In 29 games with the Humboldt Broncos U15AA team last season, Elke tallied 33 goals and 33 assists for a total of 66 points.

Elke describes himself as a big, 200-foot hybrid player with great vision who can make anything happen around the ice, similar to current Warriors’ captain, Lynden Lakovic.

The Varsity Sabres opened preseason play on a beautiful summer afternoon at AD Penner Park, taking on perennial powerhouse St. Paul’s Crusaders, but the scenery looked better than the scoreboard, which finished with a 20-0 win for the Crusaders.

The Sabres trailed 13–0 at halftime, but a highlight 50-yard catch-and-run from Mason Wiebe to Ben Webster set up a first-and-goal from the 3-yard line.

Despite the strong push, the Sabres were stopped short and turned the ball over on downs.
