Blackfalds Snow Angels looking for volunteers
Blackfalds FCSS is looking for volunteers for its Snow Angels Program.
The initiative is designed to support seniors or those with mobility issues with snow removal.
Cara Kroetsch is volunteer programmer with FCSS.
"Currently we have 19 residents paired with a Snow Angel. In recent years we have noticed a decline in community volunteers for the program and this has led to some being placed on a waitlist."
Kroetsch says as a result they will be launching a new program this winter.
Bulldogs lose hard fought battle in Spruce Grove
The Blackfalds Bulldogs were on the losing end of a penalty-filled affair Wednesday night in Spruce Grove falling to the Saints 6-4.
Luke Dahlen had a pair of goals for the Bulldogs in the first period to notch the score up at two heading into the second.
The Saints would go up 4-2 midway through the second on goals by Austin Peters and Alexy Lachaine.
Antoine Gauthier made the score 4-3 late in the frame, while Matthew Ronn would tie the game early in the third.
Wetland restoration construction at Three Mile Bend to begin next week
Trail users at Three Mile Bend will notice temporary construction along their route over the next couple of weeks while crew's complete wetland restoration in the area.
Starting on Nov. 26, there will be construction activity near the northwest portion of the trail.
Signs and fencing will be in place around the closed construction area.

Two Red Deer residents face stolen firearm and property charges
The Red Deer RCMP with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services, arrested two individuals and seized multiple firearms and stolen property following their investigation
On Nov. 13, officers observed an individual driving a vehicle while they were prohibited.
Out of concern for public safety police did not pursue the driver.
The next day, the same individual was located again by police.
Officers conducted surveillance, leading to the coordinated arrest of two individuals.
Rebels trade Roberts to Wenatchee

RCMP hunting for pair of suspects with ties to Central Alberta
Alberta RCMP are continuing to search for a pair of individuals wanted for various crimes.
James Blohm and Dorian Hunter both have connections to Central Alberta.
Blohm's last known location is unknown. His areas of activity are listed as Red Deer, Regina, Lloydminster, Camrose, Lacombe County, Wainwright, Vermillion, and Olds.
Hunter was last seen in Maskwacis. He is known to visit Maskwacis and Wetaskiwin.
