Have you ever been starstruck? By definition, it's "an adjective used to describe someone who is fascinated or greatly impressed by famous people, especially those in the entertainment industry".

It happened to me at the Wascana Country Club in Regina back in 2018.

A friend and I were there to watch the LPGA's Canadian Open.

I was walking by the practice green as superstar Lexi Thompson was walking off and towards the 1st tee. She was immaculately dressed in purple and mauve and she smelled like lavender.

Car club ditches gift exchange to bring Christmas cheer to local teens

This year, the Country Classics Car Club is making a meaningful change in how they celebrate the holiday season. Traditionally, the club would gather for a festive Christmas dinner with a gift exchange among members. However, for their 2024 Christmas gathering, the club is shifting its focus away from buying gifts for each other.

New historical art exhibit celebrates Steinbach's Kornelsen School's legacy

The Steinbach Arts Council is inviting the community to attend the opening of a new art exhibit called “Past Meets Present: A Celebration of Creativity” on Friday afternoon. 

The gallery exhibit will feature artwork created by students from Steinbach's historic Kornelson School.

The Travelling Mabels are ready to deliver holiday cheer to Strathmore

The folk and country band The Travelling Mabels are heading to town on Saturday (Nov. 23) at the Strathmore Travelodge.

The Strathmore Musical Arts Society is bringing the band in for a special holiday-themed event.

The group consists of Lana Floen, Therry Lawson, Keith Floen, and Eva Levesque.

Levesque is one of the singers with the band and she says they met at a party in Winnipeg in 2008.

Central Collegiate to host Cultural Fair

Students at Central Collegiate will be getting a crash course on the different cultures that make up their community.

On Thursday, November 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Central Collegiate gym, a Cultural Fair will be held with the help of the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council. The day will celebrate diversity within the school as students are spending time researching where their family originates from and preparing a display board for all the students to see.
