Unexpected costs prompt Weyburn Humane Society's online auction

The Weyburn Humane Society is holding an online auction via Facebook to raise funds for Rosa, a dog who has since been adopted, who tore her ACL while at the shelter.

"That surgery was quite expensive. It was about $3,500. So that's our goal for this auction. If we exceed that goal, the money raised will go towards paying off other surgeries and other expenses that aren't everyday costs," said Cayla Shelly, an employee at the animal shelter.

Known for his heartfelt performances, Voss will be performing at fundraisers in Burgers Beat, the Coal Creek Festival in Rasporcy, and the Barn Dance at Cave Creek Ranch just outside Estevan.

“It’s my way of trying to give back,” Voss said, reflecting on his long career in music. “Anytime I can contribute by performing for an event and trying to do some good and raise some funds, that’s my way of contributing.”
