Countdown to Communithon: Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan provides client supports
We are counting down to the 43rd annual Weyburn Communithon, which is just two days away now! The annual telethon will be going from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. this Friday live from the Weyburn Legion.
The eighth and final community agency taking part in Communithon this year is Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan.
Delynne Bortis with the organization said they'll have two Client Service Coordinators coming down from Saskatoon for the event, with funds going toward their Client Services.
Wild & Free Handmade Market just one of the many perks of homeschooling for local families
The Wild & Free Handmade Market, happening today at Knox Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., has become an annual tradition here in Weyburn. The event provides local homeschoolers with opportunities chance to learn about the various aspects of business, right from production to making change for customers.
Nine-year-old Madisyn Schick and her seven-year-old sister Emily Schick have been homeschooled their whole lives, and have been taking part in the event for the past few years.

Festival of Frights wraps up this weekend with a Scare Free edition
You’ve got one more weekend to take in the full-on spooky experience that is the Festival of Frights at the Humboldt Vintage Club just south of Humboldt. The experience has been running for a couple of weeks, and the response of those who have dared the haunted and cavernous space has been beyond enthusiastic, says Mike Yager with the Festival of Frights.
“We’re very happy with the number of people who have come through the front doors and left screaming out the back,” Yager laughs.

Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by their experienced case workers.
BBBS creates individual and group mentoring relationships amongst adults and youth.
