Carnie's Comments - Twitter Tuesday

Carnie's Comments

It's Twitter Tuesday! I find the best from the best of the Twitterati.

Stuff like this, "I feel like people who squeeze from the middle of the toothpaste tube really get me."

This guy says, "Deep down I'm a really good person but it's really deep...and I can't reach it."

A married man says, "My wife left me today because I'm too insecure. Oh, wait, she's back!"

Here's a single gal who Tweets, "I don’t think I’d get married again but I would like to annoy someone until one of us is dead."

Finding light in the dark: the story behind Stare Into The Sun by Manitoba’s Byron Falk

Sometimes the brightest inspirations come from the most unexpected—and even painful—places. For Manitoba singer-songwriter Byron Falk, his new track Stare Into The Sun is exactly that: a moment captured in time, where life’s confusion met the stunning glow of a late summer sunset.

Adorable Adoptables: Chili Pepper brings the spice to your life

This week’s Adorable Adoptables star is turning up the heat. Meet Chili Pepper, the handsome long-haired boy with a heart as warm as his name.

Chili Pepper came to the shelter a little unsure about people, but after some time in foster care, he’s learning that humans can be pretty great.

“He’s got a pretty good amount of hair,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society.

One less worry: how Southeast Cancer Support Services is helping patients across Manitoba

Cancer patients living in the Southeast often face more than just medical battles—the distance to treatment adds another layer of hardship.

That’s where Southeast Cancer Support Services (SCSS) comes in, offering care and transportation for those battling cancer, every step of the way.

Building foundations, one pebble at a time in Estevan

A vision years in the making is finally taking shape on Wellock Road, as the Pebbles to Rocks Childcare Centre begins its transformation from blueprint to reality. The groundbreaking ceremony held earlier this summer marked a major milestone for Estevan’s newest childcare initiative, led by Executive Director Karolina Tamulaitiene.

“It feels almost unreal,” Tamulaitiene shared in a recent interview. “Every time I walk past the site, I’m flooded with gratitude and electric excitement. It’s more than just construction, it’s the heartbeat of a dream coming alive.”

Poll: Star Wars vs Star Trek

It’s a question as old as time itself: Which is better Star Wars or Star Trek?

Although they’re two sides of the same coin, there are definitely people who see one as far superior to the other.

Below are a few pros and cons to consider when making your choice:

Star Wars — Pros

  • High action, fantastical concepts

  • Pod racing (think NASCAR with no rules)

  • Jedi (laser swords and telekinetic powers)

Cons
