McGillivray in the Morning Moments
Last week we had a chance to spend some time in bear country. I'm not sure if there is anything more enjoyable than watching bear cubs play and scrap from the safety of your vehicle. Mom is never too far away, and even if she looks like she isn't paying attention, she is.
We couldn't get through the trip without finding a moose as well. That just makes sense for The Moose Whisperer.
Here's a few photos from our trip and more photos can be viewed on my McGiilivray Moments Photos For You Facebook page.
Win a circular saw from MacMor this Father’s Day
Father’s Day is just around the corner — and if there’s one thing we know, it’s that dads love practical gifts. We’re talking tools over ties, gadgets over goofy mugs. In fact, 3 out of 4 dads say they’d take something useful over something decorative any day.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with MacMor Industries in Winkler for a Father’s Day celebration that hits all the right notes (and power tool settings).
Trash talk: Weyburn & Estevan exchange banter, facing off for Golden Garbage Can
The cities of Weyburn and Estevan are close neighbours, counting on one another when it matters most. However, even the friendliest of alliances have rivalries.
This was demonstrated this past week, as the communities counted down to the awarding of the Golden Garbage Can.

What's the speed limit in school and playground zones in your community? Do you think it's reasonable?
I'm asking you that today as many of my friends and neighbours are bellyaching about reduced speed limits in Moose Jaw.
We just recently made the move from speed limits of 40 km/h down to 30 in school zones and now we're doing the same around our playgrounds.
I get it. It does feel like you're barely moving when you have to hit the brakes and reduce your speed from 50 to 30 but the stats show it makes for a much safer community.

So, this past week our family attended Picnic in the Park. We always enjoy going as there's a lot of fun to be had for the kids between the bouncy houses, carnival games, and just general running around and being, well, kids.
Name That Tune: June 6 2025
Name That Tune was fun on Friday.
Daryl was the first to text in. He chose to play it safe and walk away with the $25.00 gift card.
It was a good thing as he didn't know the second song.
Listen to our conversation below.
You could be next to play tune in Friday mornings to hear the song of the day.
