Home cooking has been the recipe for success in the series between the Humboldt Broncos and Flin Flon Bombers.
Through the first four games, the home squad has won each contest as the Broncos will try and break that trend on Saturday night at the Whitney Forum.

The Humboldt Broncos did their part on Friday picking up a 6-1 win over the Nipawin Hawks on Friday night, but they didn’t get any help from the Kindersley Klippers, as the Battlefords North Stars swept the home and home set to claim the Nutrien Division and the sixth seed in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League standings.
As a result, the Broncos will head north for their first-round matchup against the Flin Flon Bombers, who finished second overall during the regular season.

After a scoreless first period, Rylan Hue opened the scoring for Humboldt, as the Broncos had a slim 1-0 going into the final period.

Broncos clinch a playoff spot and move into 6th place in the SJHL
The Humboldt Broncos are officially in the post season.
For the 8th straight year, the Broncos have punched their ticket to the SJHL Playoffs following a 4-1 victory in the last-ever meeting with the Notre Dame Hounds.
The Notre Dame Hounds, who will be relocating to Warman, SK next season, paid one final visit to the Elgar Petersen Arena on Friday. The SJHL’s two most geographically separated ‘natural-rivals’ dropped the puck one final time, with Humboldt, who had controlled much of the rivalry over the last handful of years, picking up one final win.
