It was a mixed bag of weather on the weekend at Humboldt Golf Club’s Annual Father’s Day Tournament.
On Saturday, the golfers were presented with ideal playing conditions, while on Sunday the cold wind and rain forced a cancellation midway through the final round of the two-day event.

The weekend starts on Friday, June 21 with a community BBQ hosted by the town council, everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item.
On Saturday, there is a pancake breakfast from 8:30-10:15 am at Town Hall. Proceeds of the breakfast goes to Lanigan Dance Dynamics.
New discoveries at Original Humboldt
A gateway to the past has been opened by the University of Saskatchewan Field School with their Archaeological Dig at Original Humboldt.
Since the start of May, led by Professor Dr. Glenn Stuart, teacher assistant Lorina Farr and eight students have been working on the excavation and have unearthed several discoveries.
Broncos make a pair of draft day deals
The 2024 SJHL Draft was a part of a busy day for the Humboldt Broncos on Tuesday. Along with their draft picks, the Broncos made a couple trades.
Following the selection of defenceman Tatum Fouquette during the first round, Humboldt acquired his brother, Tre Fouquette from the Nipawin Hawks. In return, the Broncos sent the 22nd pick in both the 2008 and 2009 portions of the 2024 draft, a 2025 1st round selections in both the 2009 and 2010 sections of the draft to Nipawin.
Humboldt Broncos 2024 SJHL Draft recap
The Humboldt Broncos along with the other 11 teams in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey (SJHL) began restocking the prospect pool with the 2024 SJHL Draft on Tuesday.
With the 10th overall selection in the 2009 born player portion of the draft, the Broncos selected Prince Albert Defenceman Tatum Fouquette.
Last season with the U15 AA Prince Albert Pirates, Fouquette had 42 points (28G-14A) in 27 games.

Planned power outage in Aberdeen for June 12

maintenance that will begin at 9:00 am and will last until 4:00 pm and will affect customers west of Central Avenue.
