Altona police, PV RCMP connect stolen truck to string of weekend complaints
A 25 year-old woman from Gretna was arrested and charged following a string of incidents last Friday in and around Altona.
That day, a 2018 Ford F-150 was reported stolen from the industrial park in Altona. Local police say the suspects spray painted the truck black.

A series of low pressure systems brought precipitation to the Red River Valley and Southeastern Manitoba Thursday and Friday, and in some cases the totals were substantial.
Emergency crews respond to incident in front of Altona Mall after vehicle ruptures gas tank
Altona/Rhineland Emergency Services was called to the scene in front of the Altona Mall Thursday afternoon after a vehicle jumped the curb and ruptured the gas tank spilling gas onto the street.
Town of Altona Public Works brought sand to dam both sides of the the gas spill to contain it. Foam was applied to capture vapours and eliminate the possibility of fire.
Altona Police blocked traffic at the scene and the vehicle was hauled away.
EMS also attended but there were no injuries.
Morris RCMP officer assaulted with weapon in Lowe Farm, police thank public for help
On September 14, at approximately 10:05 am, Morris RCMP responded to a disturbance in Lowe Farm.
It was reported that a male was walking on the road, screaming and smashing vehicles with a metal bar on Main Street.
Several officers immediately headed to the scene.

Morden Police issue arrest warrant
The Morden Police Service has issued an arrest warrant for David Larrance Penner.
The 33-year-old was facing charges for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police service.
Flags lowered in honour of Queen Elizabeth II
Municipalities in the Pembina Valley have joined in the memoriam of Queen Elizabeth II, following Her Majesty's passing today. She was 96 years old.
Flags at municipal buildings and others in the region have been lowered to half-mast in recognition of her passing.

Feds provide nearly $8 million for Centennial Arena renovation
The Federal Government is providing over $7.9 million to the City of Winkler to support the renovation of the Centennial Arena to complete Phase 2 of the Meridian Exhibition Centre.
Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, announced the funding via a news release issued Thursday afternoon.
Young boy perishes in fatal ATV collision
A six-year-old child has died after an incident involving a side-by-side ATV.
According to Pembina Valley RCMP, officers received the report Monday evening, which indicated an ATV collision involving a child had occurred.
The initial investigation has determined the 6-year-old was riding his scooter and came around a blind corner when he was struck by the side-by-side being operated by a 19-year-old male.
The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
