Carnie's Comments

It became available to the general public in 2006. I joined in 2008. I've enjoyed it for about 17 years now. It is Facebook.

I think it's great. I'm there for amusement and to do some entertaining myself from time to time and to stay informed about what's topical for friends and acquaintances. It's useful that way.

For me, the novelty has never worn off and, it turns out, I'm in the majority.

An estimated 32.2 million Canadians are Facebook users. That's about 77% of the population.

Moe calls for restraint on tariffs, touts Saskatchewan’s resilience — NDP calls it pandering

As U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods climb higher under the Trump administration, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is urging calm and discouraging retaliatory measures, even as opposition voices accuse him of downplaying the damage to the provincial economy.

In a public statement posted to social media, Moe called the U.S. decision to hike tariffs on non-CUSMA-compliant goods to 35% “disappointing”, but emphasized that 95% of Saskatchewan’s exports to the U.S. remain tariff-free under the current trade deal.
