Jumping into the Manitoba Airshow action

The Manitoba Airshow returned to Southport this year for the RCAF 100-year anniversary. They had everything at the event from beer gardens to food trucks and vendors. They even had a young aviator’s tent for the kids. The shows went on all afternoon leaving everyone excited for the airshow to return in the upcoming years. They had a wide variety of aircrafts and performances being showcased over the weekend. Some of these included the Skyhawks, Northern Stars Aeroteam, WWII Lancaster bomber, the Snowbirds, and so much more.

Project Patio takes off with the Manitoba Airshow

Project Patio attended the first day of the Manitoba Airshow today. There was plenty to do for everyone, including an aviator’s tent for the kids, as well as beer gardens, food trucks, unique vendors, and much more. They even brought a car show into the Airshow as they had them all displayed on the grounds, along with many planes, helicopters, and jets that you could learn facts about and take pictures of. And of course, the airshows were incredible.

Day 3 of Austin Threshermen’s Reunion is going to be a big one

Austin Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede kicked off Thursday, but big plans are expected to continue to Sunday.  

Vice president for the Manitoba Agriculture Museum and volunteer for the event, Bill Warren says there is a lot of dedication into making this event possible. It is run entirely by volunteers who put lots of hard work into the setup for the stampede.  

Gathering of Nations brings people together at the Manitoba Stampede

There were many great things about this year’s Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition in Morris, however, the Gathering of Nations performances were a highlight of the weekend.  

A member of the Gathering of Nations committee, Chantal Seenie, was thrilled with the turnout and support for the dancers and singers throughout the weekend. She says the event is particularly special because the area of the event is unique.  

Volunteers making it happen at the Threshermen's Reunion and Stampede

The Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede is set to go this week and once again the schedule is full at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin.   

The president of the museum is Angie Klym and she says she is excited for this year's event. There are going to be some highlights that are new for this year’s reunion that make it special from the rest.   

Arborg happily hosted their 100th annual Agriculture Fair

This weekend is the big Arborg Ag Fair, and they are pleased that this is their 100th annual event. Project Patio was there on Saturday for the first day of fun, but it also goes on all day Sunday. They had activities for everyone from the Turn N’ Burn Horse Gymkhana, to endless things for the kids. This includes fun events and stations such as bouncy castles, a petting zoo, face painting, and many games in the kid's zone. Beer gardens were open, along with fun viewing events like the tractor pull and the ATV mud bog.

First Day of the Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition kicks off

It was the first great day of the stampede today, with a weekend of excitement still ahead.  

President of the Valley Agricultural Society, Brian Wiebe says how happy he was for the opening day turnout. They are expected to have around 40,000 people on the grounds in Morris throughout the whole weekend, which he highlights is a big success.  

Wait is over: The Manitoba Stampede has finally arrived

Manitoba is getting ready to celebrate their big stampede that is happening once again this year in Morris.  

The stampede has everything this year, including events such as the rodeo, agriculture fair, live music, concessions, kids' zones, and much more. It is sure to be an action-packed weekend with all the great events happening in the rodeo ring.
