Harvest season is upon us, so be on the lookout for farm equipment
It's harvest season, so be aware of farm equipment on roads.

During harvest season, farmers are moving lots of slow, oversized equipment on the roads, which makes it tough to see around them and tricky to pass.
When coming up to a farmer driving farm equipment on the road, slow down and keep a safe distance.
On top of that, watch for signals from farm operators, and use caution when driving near the farm equipment.
Could farmers face another tariff?
It looks like India is thinking about implementing an import duty on yellow peas.
India Pulses and Grains Association is concerned that an increase in yellow pea production in Canada and Russia could result in more imports.
They say ongoing imports have brought down prices, which could discourage Indian farmers from expanding their own pulse production.
The IPGA says in order to raise the price of yellow peas in the domestic market, they are calling on the Indian government to impose a 30 to 40 per cent import duty.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling on the Liberals to scrap the temporary foreign worker program, arguing it has caused an employment crisis among young Canadians.

"We want Canadian workers to have Canadian jobs. We want to bring back high wages."

The Town of Nanton is reminding residents about student drop-off safety.
They took to Facebook to offer up suggestions from their Peace Officer Carlos.
Those include not stopping at the four-way stop to drop kids off, as it is not safe and jams up the whole intersection.
When crossing the street, cross at the crosswalks, and do not jaywalk to take a shortcut.
If you are walking with a stroller, keep them on the proper side of the road, so drivers are able to see you.
