Beiseker announces scheduled water shutoff and boil water advisory
The Village of Beiseker has announced a scheduled water shutoff for all residents, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2. The water will be off for approximately one hour. A boil water advisory will take effect once the water is turned back on. This will not impact Airdrie as the city's water supply is supplied by The City of Calgary.

The Town of Didsbury Council has approved its 2025 operating budget, balancing $13,690,587 in estimated revenues and expenditures. The budget, passed during the Regular Council Meeting on March 26, 2025, follows the earlier approval of the 2025 Capital Budget on December 10, 2024.
Alberta’s photo radar overhaul takes effect April 1
Alberta is restricting photo radar to high-risk areas and introducing a $13-million Traffic Safety Fund. Effective April 1, photo radar will be prohibited on numbered provincial highways and connectors, limited to school zones, playgrounds, and construction areas.
Intersection Safety Devices (ISDs) will be restricted to red-light enforcement only, eliminating the "speed-on-green" function that previously generated millions in revenue.

The Farmers' Almanac has released its 2025 summer outlook, and it is looking hot for Airdrie.
"With the exception of the Atlantic Coast, the arrival of the summer solstice will start on an unsettled, if not a stormy note for much of the nation," shared the Almanac.
The season officially begins with the summer solstice on June 20, 2025.
"Summer heat will arrive in full force by July with much of the nation sweltering with more than above-average temperatures."
Man Van making return to Airdrie first time this year
The Man Van is making its first return to Airdrie this year in May.
Canada’s first mobile men’s health clinic, the Man Van, offers free PSA (prostate-specific-antigen) blood testing used for early detection of prostate cancer. Men between the ages of 40 and 70 are the targeted group to get tested.
On May 6th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., the Man Van will be at 800 East Lake Boulevard Northeast (Genesis Place) to offer free blood testing.
