A dangerous persons alert ended Wednesday just before 4 p.m. when the Saskatchewan RCMP announced that Myles Sanderson was located and taken into police custody near Rosthern, Sask. around 3:30 p.m.

This ended a manhunt that began early Sunday as multiple reports came in of stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon.

Myles and his brother Damien Sanderson were the suspects behind the attacks. Police had reported 11 deaths, including Damien, and 19 injuries.
