Homebase seeking book donations for youth drop-in centre
An old book could become a new treasure for someone else.
Homebase Humboldt is currently accepting donations of new or gently used books to aid in their development of a book corner for their youth drop-in centre.
Youth Mental Health and Addictions Counselor Katrina Hodgson says they want to provide an assortment of activities at the youth drop-in centre that provide a space that is safe, cozy and engaging for the youth.
Broncos Oakley McIlwain named Defenceman of the Week
On the strength of the Humboldt Broncos notching a pair of wins last week, Oakley McIlwain has been named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s (SJHL) SuperU Defenceman of the Week.
Last week, McIlwain registered five points (1G-4A) in the Broncos victories over the Nipawin Hawks and the Notre Dame Hounds. In the Broncos road victory in Nipawin, McIlwain had three points (1G-2A).

Broncos charge past Hounds to extend point streak to five games
The Humboldt Broncos extended their point streak to five games following a 5-3 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Thursday night.
With the victory, the Broncos have picked up nine out of possible ten points and have now moved into a tie with the Melville Millionaires for sixth place in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) standings.

Broncos forward Jacob Strizzi named forward of the week
Humboldt Broncos forward Jacob Strizzi earned a nod from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as he was named the Bourgault Forward of the Week.
In three games last week, Strizzi scored three goals, with two of those goals ended up being game-winning-goals. The Vaughan ON product helped the Broncos earn their first win of 2025 after he picked up the overtime against Notre Dame last Wednesday.
