Tow Truck struck on Trans Canada Highway west of Swift Current
A terrifying incident took place on Tuesday when a semi collided with a tow truck wrecker and the vehicle which it was assisting in the eastbound lane on Highway #1.
The Swift Current Rural RCMP responded to the call at approximately 7:05 p.m., near Beverly, just west of Swift Current.
Temporary disruption to lab services in Swift Current
Residents should be advised of a temporary disruption to lab services at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current.
Effective immediately due to staffing challenges, laboratory services are closed for outpatients for the duration of the day.
Regular lab services are expected to resume tomorrow.

Residents can expect extremely cold wind chill values of minus 40 overnight.
The extreme cold will continue throughout the week during the mornings and overnight.
The period of extreme cold is expected to moderate by the weekend.
