Dona Mae Andreychuk, aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, was born July 10th, 1943, and passed away suddenly on Monday, July 28th, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother of 5, and sister. Dona is survived by her three children: Richard Andreychuk (grandchildren: Chelcie, Colby, Amanda, and Whitney), Cheryl Andreychuk (grandchildren: Owen, Madison, and Conrad), and Sandra Bastian (grandchildren: Dylan, Dawson, Dalton); and sisters: Beryl Robinson, Sharon Heathcoat, and Brenda Hillmer.
Biggest Grace Street Show and Shine Yet
From 37 cars to more than 130, the Grace Street Show and Shine continues to grow each year.
On Saturday, August 9, Grace Street will be blocked to vehicle traffic between 11th and 13th Avenue. If you have a classic car you want to show off, just drive up on the day of the event and pay the $20 registration fee. No pre-registration is required.
Red Sox mount comeback to defeat Miller Express
The Regina Red Sox scored 12 runs in the eighth inning to pick up a 20–11 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Wednesday night in Regina.
Regina opened the scoring with three runs in the bottom of the second inning. Moose Jaw got a run back in the fourth, with Austin Gurney hitting a solo home run.
Alexina Therese Marie Carrobourg
The family of Alexina Therese Marie Carrobourg is sad to announce her passing on July 22, 2025. Alexina was born on May 6, 1930, in Gravelbourg, SK to Yvette and Alexander Fortin. She grew up in Coderre, SK where she attended Coderre public school. Alexina married John Carrobourg on June 1, 1949.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister Cecile Morin and brothers Fernand Fortin, Auxilien Fortin, Romeo Fortin, and Jerry Fortin.
New road closures in Moose Jaw this morning
If you're hitting the road in Moose Jaw there's a few things to keep an eye out for.
Road repairs are taking place on the following streets:
- 1000 block of Vaughan Street and,
- 1100 block of Currie Crescent.
Additionally, the work continues on the stretch of 9th Avenue SE from Coteau Street E to Corsterphine Avenue. Work is taking place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. but 9th Ave SE is open nightly for travel.

The host Layritz All Stars shutout the local boys 16-0 yesterday. Moose Jaw will play Team Alberta tomorrow morning.

Concerts in the Park wrapping 30th season as Festival of Trees prep continues
The Moose Jaw Health Foundation (MJHF) is nearing the final weeks of its 30th annual Concerts in the Park series — a free summer tradition that fills Crescent Park with music, dancing, and community spirit.

29-year-old sentenced in Moose Jaw Court for attempted robbery
A 29-year-old man was sentenced to six months in jail for an attempted robbery during a recent appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court.
Prince Lamadine pleaded guilty to assault with intent to steal and failing to comply with a probation order. The six-month sentence was a joint submission from legal aid lawyer Suzanne Lalonde and Crown prosecutor Stephen Wishart.
15 Wing Military Police building renamed to honour fallen officer
A dedication ceremony was held at 15 Wing Moose Jaw on Wednesday to honour the late Master Warrant Officer Norman “Danny” O’Donnell.
The 15 Wing Military Police detachment building at 79 NATO Dr. was officially renamed the Master Warrant Officer N.E. O’Donnell, CD Police Detachment.
