The grand prize winner of the Providence High School Student Athlete of the Month is recent high school graduate Giana Denora. 

Denora graduated from Dakota Collegiate in Winnipeg in June and is planning on attending Providence University College and Theological Seminary in Otterburne, MB. 

The avid soccer player was announced as the Athlete of the Month with CHVN in September 2023. Now she's taken home the grand prize which includes a $1,500 scholarship from Providence.

Derian joined the team at Sunrise Credit Union just four years ago as a loans officer in Ste. Rose. He worked his way up to branch manager before transferring to the Boissevain branch. Penziwol is quick to share what he loves about his workplace and its role within the community.

“A person’s hearing is incredibly important, because hearing is what allows us to actually connect with people around us,” she says. “It allows us to have conversations, to communicate, and when that’s a struggle, it leads to isolation.”

Bailey Habscheid started her firefighting career in high school as a work experience student in Swift Current. “I had a really good experience and really enjoyed the work,” she said, “So I wanted to pursue it full-time.”
