While Airdrie is not under a snowfall warning, Environment Canada has issued alerts for areas west and north of the city, including areas near and around Kananaskis Country and Mountain View County, which covers communities such as Sundre.
These areas could see up to 10 centimetres of snow by this afternoon, with reduced visibility and difficult travel conditions expected. The snowfall is forecast to taper off by this evening.

A motor vehicle collision on northbound QEII near Township Road 292 has been cleared, and traffic is returning to normal as of Monday morning. The crash, reported at 9:35 a.m., occurred northwest of Township Road 285, near Crossfield.

Update: Amid March snow, stalled vehicles cause delays on QEII near Airdrie
Traffic is moving normally on the QEII Highway between Airdrie and Balzac after earlier delays caused by stalled vehicles along the southbound lanes.
Airdrie is experiencing periods of snow, with up to five centimetres expected throughout the day. The high is forecast to reach 2 C before dropping to -9 C overnight, with a chance of evening flurries before skies clear.
Conditions are expected to improve on Tuesday. A mix of sun and clouds in the morning will clear by noon, and the temperature will reach a high of 4 C.
Update: Serious collision closes Highway 22 near Didsbury
A serious motor vehicle collision shut down Highway 22 near Highway 582 on Sunday night, though the scene has since been cleared and all lanes reopened as of 10:50 p.m.
Didsbury RCMP and emergency crews responded to the crash, temporarily closing the highway while police investigated. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
The cause of the collision has not been released. RCMP previously stated an update would be provided as more information became available.
Update: Propane truck rollover on Hwy 1A forces evacuations, 12-hour flare-off planned
The controlled flaring operations conducted in response to the propane leak incident on Highway 1A between Lochend Road and Woodland Road have been completed.
Emergency crews confirmed the process was finished as of 7:00 a.m. Saturday. The road was closed overnight on Friday.
All safety checks were completed, and affected residents were cleared to return home by 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Cochrane RCMP said that a propane truck rollover shut down a section of Highway 1A between Woodland Road and Lochend Road on Friday. No injuries were reported, but emergency crews managed a propane spill at the scene.
The highway remained closed while a controlled flaring operation was conducted to safely burn off the remaining propane.
As of Saturday morning, Highway 1A has fully reopened, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
