Although the threat of rain hung around early Friday (Jun. 24), cloudy skies and gusts of wind blowing at 40-50 km/hr at times will subside around 6 p.m., and once the concert begins at 7 p.m., you can expect to see a mild summer evening at around 18 C.
Overnight, temperatures will drop to a low of 10 C.
Applications for Muriel Ross Court expected to open this fall
A new update has been released regarding Fort Saskatchewan's latest affordable housing complex.
Due to supply chain issues, construction on the Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court is slightly behind schedule, but Heartland Housing Foundation anticipates opening the building in early 2023.

Canada announces interest relief for farmers
On Thursday, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Marie-Claude Bibeau, announced that the interest-free portion of the Advance Payments Program will increase from $100,000 to $250,000 for the 2022 and 2023 program years. As a result, participating producers will save on average $5,500 in interest costs over the next two years. This change will represent total savings of up to $61 million over two years for approximately 11,000 producers.

'Community is number one' Royal LePage donates over $11, 000 to the Multicultural Association
On Jun. 5, the Royal LePage Noralta Fort Saskatchewan brokerage held a perogy dinner to raise money for the Fort Saskatchewan Multicultural Association.
Initially, the brokerage expected to sell just 100 tickets to the event, but as demand grew, they sold 300 tickets in total.
The dinner was held in the Normandy Room at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hall. Shumka Ukrainian Foods catered the authentic perogy dishes.
Rainfall warning issued for area
A rainfall warning has been issued for the area.
Environment Canada says rain, at times heavy, will continue across portions of central Alberta Thursday night (June 23) and into Friday morning.
Total amounts of 40 to 60 mm are likely before the rain tapers off Friday morning, with up to 80 mm possible in a few localities.
The rainfall warning is in place for communities such as Fort Saskatchewan, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Gibbons, Bon Accord, Redwater, Lamont and Bruderheim.

The scientist, who's best known for her work with wild chimpanzees in Africa, was in Calgary on Wednesday and was scheduled to give another talk in Victoria on Friday night.
"It's my first trip to Canada in three years, because of the pandemic, and it's my third trip anywhere," Goodall said in an interview Wednesday before her Calgary event.
Weather Network warns of thunderstorms, risk of tornadoes for area
There's a chance of a strong thunderstorm with a risk of a tornado on Thursday night (June 23), the Weather Network says.
Both central and southern Alberta could see funnel clouds develop with colder air aloft on the horizon.
"Large hail, powerful winds and even a tornadic risk are all on the table, so residents are urged to pay close attention to the weather alerts as the day progresses," the network said on their website.
There is currently no official alert for a tornado watch or warning in place.
