Take 5 - Stadacona Apartments

Rob Carnie: Another issue our local folks are talking about Maurice, the Stadacona Apartments, at last where this issue was still tied up in red tape with the province. Is that correct?

Maryse Carmichael: We're getting closer as well to an answer on this one. We've been in discussion with the province on this. There's one last hurdle to go through and then the city should have ownership of the building.

Fort St. John Association for Community Living hosts walk

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The Fort St. John Association for Community Living takes pride in helping individuals with disabilities secure meaningful employment in the community. By networking with local businesses, providing on-the-job support, and offering employers job-ready candidates, they help address the ongoing workforce shortage.

This month serves as a special opportunity to highlight the unique work they do, celebrate their partner businesses and organizations, and raise awareness to further expand this important program.

Take 5 - Fire Prevention Week

Rob Carnie: It is Fire Prevention Week. We have got to get that message out and remind people to check their smoke detectors.

Maryse Carmichael: It is so important to check your smoke detectors. This week, especially, (is) the week where all firefighters across the province take the time to remind people to check their smoke alarms.

Carnie's Comments - Twitter Tuesday

Carnie's Comments

It's time for Twitter Tuesday - I find the best from the best of the Twitterati.

This guy says, "I will say my phone number twice whenever I leave voicemails as if people can't see the number...because I belong to the early 90s."

I like this, "I was going to cook alligator for dinner but I realized I only have a croc pot."

This funny girl I follow says, "Arguing with me is pointless. I knew I was wrong 10 minutes ago. I'm just trying to make you angry now."
