It’s been a busy year for Weyburn Soccer Association and they are planning on presenting the year that was, and the plans for next year, at their upcoming annual general meeting.  

“Weyburn Soccer is hosting our annual AGM and we want you to be a part of it,” said President of Weyburn Soccer Association Jason Roy. “We're inviting everyone in the community to attend to see how our organization operates. This is a great opportunity to learn our goals and our plans for the future.”

The Steinbach Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) is making sure everyone gets time on the ice.

On Sunday, Sept. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m., SMHA is hosting a U9 Co-ed Come Try Hockey Event for kids aged nine and under. 

Ryan Canada, vice president of SMHA, says this will be a great chance for kids to get on the rink and experience hockey. 

The Boyne River will be the star of the show this weekend as the community of Carman gears up to celebrate World Rivers Day with a full slate of family-friendly activities, pirate-themed fun, and even a chance to win a kayak.

Estevan residents are invited to connect, have fun and engage with their community this month through events organized by the Estevan Community Wellness Committee.

Co-chair Shelly Veroba shared details about the group’s Community Wellness packages and upcoming events during a recent interview.

The Half Grand Helping Hand is back for September!

With kids going back to school and budgets being tight, our friends at High River Autoplex and RV wanted to give back to the non-profits and other community groups that do so much for High River and the surrounding area. 

It could be one of the many non-profit organizations in town, including hockey teams or any other group that could sure use $500.

The annual Rotary Food Bank Drive is coming up September 11th here in Grande Prairie, with Rotary, Rotaract, Interact, and hundreds of volunteers hitting the streets to collect food in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank. It’s an event that helps local families and seniors make it through some very tough times.
