Island Breeze International Conference wraps up after six days of faith and culture
The Island Breeze International Conference has come to a close, following six days filled with worship, music, cultural exchange, and meaningful connection.
Isi Masi with Island Breeze Manitoba says it was an incredible experience to welcome people from all over the world, including the Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, the United States, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Fiji, the Caribbean, South Africa, and Samoa.
'Being a disciple': Worship service brings community together to follow Jesus
Over 200 people were in attendance for the Community Worship Service at the Manitoba Sunflower Festival on Sunday Morning in Altona's Centennial Park.
The Manitoba Sunflower Festival has a long, community-focused history spanning 60 years.
Sunday morning's service included a message, worship, and a time of prayer.
Additionally, there was a story time for children to participate in and enjoy. It was a collaborative effort involving several organizations and churches in the community.
BricksPO Builds Big Crowds at the Western Development Museum.
800 CHAB, Country 100, and Mix 103 broadcasted live from the Western Development Museum for BricksPO, the ultimate LEGO® fan event in Moose Jaw! Families from across the province packed the museum to explore original LEGO® creations from builders across Western Canada. From sci-fi and medieval displays to celebrity portraits, the creativity was endless. Visitors also took in live Exhibitor Challenges, Brick Talks, and the ever-popular Wacky Races.

A summer reading club for all kids, big and small— Teen Reads and Bookland Explorers underway in South Central Regional Libraries
For countless summers, the South Central Regional Library has organized a summer reading club aimed at kids aged 5-13 to great success. However, last year was the first year the library ran a summer reading program specifically for teenagers— Teen Reads. Along with the Bookland Explorers program, which is intended for kids under the age of 13, the summer is far from boring at any branch of the South Central Regional Library.

What started as a new development on the edge of Steinbach over 50 years ago has become something much more meaningful for a group of long-time neighbours on Willow Place.
Families who moved in during the early 1970s recently gathered in Anne Peters’ backyard to reminisce, laugh, and reflect on five decades of shared life. The mood was joyful and heartfelt, as stories poured out — some familiar, others told for the first time — sparking warm memories and plenty of laughter.
