Farewell Kuna: Inspiration behind Wolfdog Sanctuary lost
Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary has announced the sad news that Kuna, the very first wolfdog and inspiration behind the Sanctuary has passed away.
“Kuna was actually the reason behind why this place is here,” says Alyx Harris, the operations manager of the Sanctuary.
The fifteen-and-a-half-year-old wolfdog passed away peacefully on September 17th.
“It was really hard to say goodbye to such a big member and a big part of what we do.”

This big boy is love personified. Chuckie and his siblings have been with KAWS since they were 1 week old with their mother. He is gentle, loving, playful and every great thing you want in a companion. Since he is fostered in a house so he has been trained to stay off counters and doesn't scratch furniture if he has a scratching post handy. He is quite a big boy and will be a large cat. Good with other cats, dogs and children.

Saturday, September 28, it’s time to head out to the Pilger Pumpkin Festival in the warm and inviting village of Pilger.
The big pumpkin weigh in starts at 2 pm at the Pilger Community Hall, so load up the trailers and flatbeds with your best pumpkin produce.
That 2 pm deadline also applies to all judged goods like pumpkin carvings and those delicious pumpkin pies.
