SaskAbilities gets set for International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024
“Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future” is the theme of this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities. SaskAbilities joins other organizations, on December 3, in recognizing the accomplishments of disabled persons and the role they play in society.

Hounds steal one from the Broncos in the final minute
The Humboldt's Broncos brought last night's match up with the Notre Dame Hounds back level in the third period, only to watch the win slip away with under a minute left for a 4-3 loss in Wilcox.
The Hounds took early command of the game with a pair of goals in the first period and a third at 7 minutes in the second.
Four individuals arrested after a stolen vehicle repeatedly refused to stop for police
Four individuals are facing a number of charges after their stolen vehicle refused to stop for police on multiple occasions.
On Friday, RCMP received report of a stolen SUV in Prince Albert. Later that afternoon, Smeaton RCMP received a report matching the stolen vehicles description.
The vehicle was located on Highway #55 between Smeaton and Nipawin and police attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop.
RCMP in Carrot River was contacted and attempted a traffic stop on Highway #55 but the stolen vehicle continued at a high rate of speed.
RCMP arrest wanted male in Humboldt and seized five firearms
The Humboldt RCMP along with the Saskatchewan RCMP North Battleford Crime Reduction Team arrested a male wanted on multiple warrants from the three police agencies for a total of 22 charges.
Santa Parade and Moonlight Madness draw hundreds to Humboldt's downtown
The sidewalks were cleared, the roads were ready, and the weather cooperated on Thursday night for a fantastic Moonlight Madness and Santa Claus Parade experience. Hundreds of shoppers and sightseers lined Main Street and 9th Avenue for the parade.
Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP seeking information on a stolen vehicle in Watson
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP are trying to locate a missing vehicle in Watson.
Sometime between October 15 at 10:PM to October 16th to 08:00, a red Dodge Dakota truck was stolen from the 300 block of Railway Avenue in Watson.
Humboldt RCMP trying to locate suspect causing mischief
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP are seeking information about a suspect causing mischief in Humboldt.
Between 7:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, November 8 an individual was observed on a camera going through cars in the 700 block of 6th Street in Humboldt. No items were taken, but police are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect.

Garth Anderson, Mark Fedak named to leadership of Horizon SD Board
With new and returning members of the Horizon School Division Board of Trustees secured following the November 13 elections, the Division proceeded with the election of its table officers for the upcoming year.
In a release from the school division, the division welcomed Garth Anderson as Chair and re-elected Mark Fedak as Vice Chair. Together, the table officers play a key role in guiding the board’s efforts to achieve the division's foundational goals.
Planned Power Outage - Guernsey rurals
SaskPower is planning a power outage for Monday, November 25 that will affect the Guernsey area.
The outage is planned for residents southwest of Guernsey between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm, weather permitting.
SaskPower is working to improve the power system in the area, and they thank customers for their cooperation and understanding.
