The New Year is approaching and SGI has its own countdown!

The clock is ticking on the countdown to a New Year, and SGI has its own countdown launched. The insurer is counting down the 10 ways you can make sure you and your loved ones get home safe this New Year’s Eve.  

10. Make a plan. ✅ You’ve got options and taking the time to decide before you hit the town can help everyone relax and enjoy the evening.  

9. Take the bus. In Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Moose Jaw, you can ride the bus for free on New Years’s Eve.  Any bus can be a party bus if you have the right attitude.  🚌 🎉

Luke Strueby and Chad Hofmann recognized for commitment to student athletics by HCAA

For the final pairing for our recipients of the Horizon Central Athletic Association Recognition Awards, we welcome Luke Strueby of Wakaw School and Chad Hofmann of Muenster School. The HCAA recognizes the varied contributions of the eight individuals receiving this year’s award for the immeasurable, valuable, and selfless service provided to students and student-athletes in their own communities and in the association. In a recognition series, we’ll meet a pair of them each day.

Watrous one of eight communities receiving SaskTel's infiNET service

The town of Watrous is one of eight communities next on the list for SaskTel’s infiNET service. The high-speed internet service is set to launch in Canora, Carlyle, Carrot River, Fort Qu’Appelle, Hudson Bay, Kamsack, and Lumsden as well. Part of the Crown corporation’s $200 million Rural Fibre Initiative, SaskTel’s infiNET service allows customers to access the latest digital tools and technologies to socialize, learn, pursue economic opportunities, and connect to healthcare and other government services, states a release from the providers.
