Six-run inning gives Outlaws a victory over the Marysburg Royals

The Marysburg Royals suffered their third straight loss as they were defeated by the Saskatoon Outlaws 7-3 on Monday night. 

After going scoreless through the first three innings, the Royals opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning with an RBI double from Joel Bauml. Curtis Strueby followed that with an RBI single.  

The Outlaws answered back in a big way as they replied with six runs in the bottom of the fourth.  

11U Humboldt Dodgers win Provincial Championship on home turf

The 11U Humboldt Dodgers turned hometown pride into championship gold, claiming the 11U AA Tier 1 Provincial Championship at Centennial Park on Sunday. 

In the Gold Medal Game, the Dodgers beat the White Butte Broncos 9-7.  

During the round-robin, Humboldt had a 2-1 record. On Friday, they beat the Saskatoon Jr Braves 19-10. 

Saskatchewan wins bronze at Football Canada Cup

Team Saskatchewan didn’t walk away empty handed at the 2025 Football Canada Cup in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  

Saskatchewan defeated Quebec 36-8 to win the bronze medals and a third-place finish.  

Easton Gosselin of Humboldt is a member of Team Saskatchewan.  

Saskatchewan won their first game on Monday, July 14, beating New Brunswick 42-0. 

18U AAA Red Sox end regular season with a win and loss against Sun Devils

It was a split on Saturday for the 18U AAA East Central Red Sox against the Zone 7 Sun Devils.  

The Red Sox won the first game 10-4. Cade Britz led the way at the plate with three hits and scored three runs.  

Graydn Wilson opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning.  

Successful Sask Amateur Golf Championships wraps up at Humboldt Golf Club

The championship podium had a southern feel at the Saskatchewan Amateur Golf Championships at the Humboldt Golf Club (HGC).  

Corey Bailey of Swift Current claimed the 2025 Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship. 

Bailey opened with an 8-under 64, followed by a 1-under 71 before shooting a 2-over 74 in the final round to claim the championship. 

Rural and Remote Health Minister Lori Carr to continue summer tour in Nokomis, Wynyard, and Foam Lake

Rural and Remote Health Minister Lori Carr will be making stops in East Central Saskatchewan as part of her continued summer tour of the province. Upcoming visits are scheduled in Nokomis, Wynyard, and Foam Lake, where she will meet with local leaders and health care staff and tour health facilities.
