Wrapping up week one of Grain Rush today with a KFC delivery to the Renas farm east of Cedoux, where they farm wheat, lentils, peas, flax, and oats  

Tyson said seeding conditions were near perfect, but hail and then more rain caused major havoc a couple of weeks ago.

He added that harvest operations are well underway, but is going smooth-ish. Barring a few kinks, nothing major has broken down yet.

Saskatchewan’s future is bright due to our strong and growing economy. Statistics Canada's latest retail trade figures for June 2024 placed Saskatchewan second among the provinces for year-over-year growth. The province's retail trade sales increased by 3.4 per cent in June 2024 over June 2023 (seasonally adjusted), totaling $2.1 billion. 

Brittany Underhill, registered psychologist, owner, and director of Wheatland County Counselling is pleased to see the stigma surrounding counselling fade over the last handful of years. The company opened in 2017. Since then, client numbers have been gradually increasing.

Brody and his crew farm just north of Yellow Grass, SK and despite the rain, have had an awesome harvest as they’re currently on their last field of durum.
