With the first half of the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games ending on Wednesday, many medals were handed out.

Heavyweight battle between Roughriders and Alouettes missing some key players
It will be a battle of the best of the west against the beasts of the east tonight in the Canadian Football League when the Saskatchewan Roughriders meet the Montreal Alouettes.
Both teams sit atop of their respective divisions at 5-1, but the two squads will be dealing with significant injuries this week.

Prairie Central ended up with three medals (1G-1S-1B) at the end of the day.

Night of the Museum will be full of mysteries at Humboldt Museum
Kids will have the chance to put on their detective hat this week.
The first edition of Night of the Museum is on Thursday night at the Humboldt Museum.
From 6:30-8:00pm, the sleuths will have to try and discover clues that are hidden throughout the museum.
There will also be snacks and crafts.
Little Gosling Childcare Centre trying to get nestled in Quill Lake
A new day care centre in Quill Lake is one step closer to reality.
Recently the Little Gosling Childcare Centre received government funding through the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.
President Taylor Gardiner said once they received the funding, they asked the community for support, which was answered quickly.
11U Humboldt Dodgers win 2024 11U AA Tier 1 Provincial Championship
Baseball Provincials got underway this weekend and some local teams were able to bring back some hardware.
The 11U AA Humboldt Dodgers claimed the Provincial title in the 11U AA Tier 1 Championship in Prince Albert.
Begining the weekend, the Dodgers went 2-1 in the round robin, with a 6-4 win on Friday against Weyburn and followed that with a 17-8 victory
against Swift Current.
On Saturday afternoon, the Dodgers were defeated by the Unity 16-12.
Volunteers needed for 2024 Streetfest
You can lend a helping hand for the upcoming Streetfest in Humboldt.
The organizing committee needs volunteers throughout the event.
Downtown BID President Alyssa Hergott says they need extra help for the setup, working at the Street Dance including scanning the tickets at the entry point, security and bartenders.
Roughriders are back in first place
One third through the Canadian Football League season is complete and the Saskatchewan Roughriders find themselves in first place of the CFL Western Division thanks to a 19-9 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday night.
The Roughriders leapfrog the BC Lions on Sunday after BC was defeated by the Calgary Stampeders 25-24.
Special air quality statement issued for Humboldt area
Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement.
Wildfire smoke is causing very poor air quality and reduced visibility which could fluctuate over short distances and can vary from hour to hour.
A combination of the heat along with the poor air quality in the smoke can increase risk to your health.
