Just in time for the CCA Rodeo Slack at 9:00 a.m., in the Magnus Newland Arena, the South and West gates of Kinetic Park will open at 8:00 a.m.

The Swift Current Ag & Ex have announced that due to a storm in Nashville, Meghan Patrick and her band were not able to begin their journey to Swift Current for Frontier Days.
As a result, Kalsey Kulyk and her husband Eric Ethridge will be filling in as one of the headliners this year.
In a press release, the Ag & Ex stated that they apologize for any inconvenience.
Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Southwest
At 12;33 p.m., Environment Canada issued at severe thunderstorm Watch for Swift Current, Herbert, Cabri, Kyle, and Lucky Lake.
Current conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, which are capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.
Residents are advised to keep an eye on the sky and remember that thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
Swift Current Airport lands government grant
The Swift Current Airport was recently awarded a sizeable amount of money for repairs and upgrades.
The $35,000 awarded to Swift Current was one of 21 grants to community airports across the province through the Community Airport Partnership (CAP) Program.
The funding will play a vital role in ensuring the airport's infrastructure remains in top condition, further enhancing safety and efficiency for various users, explained Todd Schultz, Airport Superintendent for the City.
