It’s day two of Frontier Days in Swift Current and the fun is just getting started. 

4-H Regional Judging Competition 

Starting early this morning, the South and West gates will open at 8:00 a.m. before the 4-H Regional Judging Competition at 9:00 a.m., in The Bernie Kemick Show Ring. 

Commercial Exhibits Tradeshow 

The town of Gravelbourg recently hosted a spectacular Food Festival that left attendees craving more.  

Maria Lepage, the president of the Francophone Community and a member of the Food Festival group, shared details of the event. 

The much-awaited annual event, Frontier Days 2023, kicks off today, offering an exciting lineup of free events and entertainment.

Eastend residents are eagerly awaiting the long-awaited opening day of the town pool, which is set to kick off this evening. 

Olivia Bircham, the pool's staff liaison and a member of the board of directors, provided some insights into the preparations and exciting events planned for the summer season. 

Swift Current seniors have a reason to celebrate as the beloved Senior Tea is set to make a grand comeback after a two-year hiatus.  

The tea party, organized by the Chinook Regional Library, is a cherished tradition which has not taken place in the community since before the pandemic. 

Connor Kurtz, the Swift Current branch manager for the Chinook Regional Library, expressed his excitement about the event's return.  

The much-anticipated opening of the Herbert Outdoor Pool has brought joy to the community, as families and residents eagerly make their way to the refreshing waters to beat the summer heat.

Despite the challenges faced in previous years, the pool was successfully able to open its doors in a timely fashion this year.

The Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Herbert, Michelle Macko, shared her excitement about the pool's opening.

Swift Current is about to experience an action-packed weekend with an extensive variety of events and activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Dunk Tank for Your Community 

The Kinette Club of Swift Current will be hosting a dunk tank in downtown Market Square today beginning at 9:00 a.m. 

Attendees will be able to purchase balls to dunk one of the brave local figures.  

The Swift Current Kinettes are teaming up with the annual Chili Cook-Off at The Center to host an exciting dunk tank fundraiser, set to make a splash in the community this Saturday at Market Square.  

The event aims to bring together the thrill of dunking local personalities while indulging in delicious chili, all in support of a great cause.

Country music sensation Meghan Patrick is gearing up for an electrifying performance at Swift Current's highly anticipated Frontier Days.  

Despite her busy summer schedule, Patrick couldn't resist the opportunity to add this show to her lineup, citing her profound love for the people of Saskatchewan and the incredible experiences she has had performing in the province.
